Samantha, the busy south Indian actress, recently paid a visit to the auspicious Palani Murugan temple to seek blessings ahead of the release of her upcoming mythological drama ‘Shaakuntalam’. She walked her way to the temple by climbing 600 steps of the hill.
Samantha lit camphor on every step and ’96’ director C Prem Kumar accompanied her on the holy trip. The diva is currently taking treatment for her autoimmune condition, Myositis, and getting back to her regular workout routine. Reportedly, she sought the blessings of Lord Murugan for her health and the success of Shaakuntalam.
The pictures and videos from Samantha’s Palani visit have surfaced over the internet and are going viral now. On the film front, Shaakuntalam is slated to hit the screens on 14th April in 3D. Samantha plays the titular role in this epic love story with Dev Mohan as King Dushyant. The film is an adaptation of renowned playwright Kalidasa’s popular play.
