The Thirukalyanam, held at the Aarugal Mandapam, saw a large number of women devotees participating in the ‘thali’ (mangalsutra) changing ceremony.
Festivities Continue:
The celebrations continue tomorrow (March 29th) with the spectacular ‘Therottam’ (chariot procession). Lord Murugan and Theiyvayanai will be seated on a decorated chariot, allowing devotees to seek blessings. The festival concludes on March 30th with the ‘Theertha Pooja’ (holy water offering) ceremony.
