Thalapathy Vijay’s most recent movie ‘Leo’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj may have received mixed review from critics but its breaking several records at the box office. It has already became the first movie in Tamil Nadu to cross Rs.100 crores in Tamil Nadu alone. The film is expected to cross Rs. 600 Crores collection worldwide soon.
In this situation, it has been officially announced that ‘Leo’ is the highest grossing Tamil film ever in the neighboring state Kerala. It is well known that Vijay has a large fanbase there which is equal to that of the one he has in his home state.
Sri Gokulam Movies, which has the Kerala release rights of ‘Leo’, has announced on its social media that it has become the first highest grossing Tamil film in the history of Kerala cinema box office. The fact that a film with a modest critical rating is continuing to storm the box office only proves the domination of Vijay as a mass hero beyond the boundaries of Tamil Nadu.
‘Leo’ produced by Seven Screen Studios has music by Anirudh and stars Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, George Mariyan, Priya Anand, Mathew Thomas, Iyal, Madonna Sebastian, Ramakrishnan, Bob Antony and Mansoor Ali Khan.
