Dhanush one of most highly rated pan Indian actors has been constantly hitting milestones in his career. In recent times his performances in ‘Vada Chennai’, ‘Asuran’, ‘Karnan’, ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ and ‘Vaathi’ recieved unanimous praise from critics and fans alike.
Meanwhile Sithara Entertainment the producers of ‘Vaathi’ (‘Sir’) in Telugu officially announced that the film has crossed the magical rupees hundred crores mark worldwide. The film directed by Venky Atluri starred Dhanush and Samyuktha in the lead roles with Samuthirakani and Sai Kumar in supporting characters.
Interstingly Dhanush’s previous Tamil films to cross the same milestone are ‘Asuran’ and ‘Thiruchitambalam’. On the other hand his Hindi film ‘Raanjhanaa’ also crossed Rs. 100 Crores. His international debut movie The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir’ primarily made in French is said to have collected Rs. 180 Crores.
Dhanush also played one of the most memorable characters in ‘The Grey Man’ directed by the Russo Brothers which is the costliest film ever made by Netflix. Trade analysts say that if the film was released in theaters it would have done more than rupees two thousand crores business. Basing on this data D is the only Tamil actor to have crossed 100 Crores in this many languages.
Dhanush’s upcoming film is ‘Captain Miller’ directed by Arun Matheshwaran. The film has music by GVP and has the ensemble cast of Dhanush, Shivarajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, John Kokken and Edward Sonnenblick.
