Veteran Tamil film producer VA Durai is recently going through a financial crisis and needs money for medical expenses. He released a video last month explaining his economic status and requesting money for his treatment. Now, Raghava Lawrence has extended financial help to him.
Durai was one of the leading producers in the late nineties and early 2000s. After suffering heavy losses, his family gave up on him and he is now aided by his old industry friends. He has produced many hit films like Baba, Looty, Ennaama Kannu, Gajendra, Pithamagan and many others under his production banner Evergreen Movie International.
‘Pithamagan’ star Suriya immediately helped with rupees two lakhs following which ‘Baba’ star Superstar Rajinikanth came forward and promised to take care of Durai’s medical expenses. Now, the latest is Raghava Lawrence has paid Rs 3 lakh for the treatment of the veteran producer. Lawrence is well-known for his welfare activities.
