Atlee who has given continous blockbuster hits in his career so far recently became the first Tamil filmmaker to deliver a Rs. 1000 Crores movie ‘Jawan’. The film produced and starring Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan and costarring Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Deepika Padukone has made a couple of hundred crores more than the magical number.
We broke the news long back to you that Atlee is planning to direct a new mega project starring both Shah Rukh Khan and Thalapathy Vijay with whom he collaborated for three consecutive blockbuster hits ‘Theri’, ‘Mersal’ and ‘Bigil’. The much sought after director has confirmed the same in his latest interview.
Atlee said, ‘I am seriously planning to do a movie with Vijay and Shah Rukh Khan. I am also in the process of choosing a suitable story for both. It might even be my next film. During my birthday party both Vijay and Shah Rukh Khan spoke among themselves and then called me and told me that they are ready to act in a dual hero subject and asked me to get in touch as soon as I am ready.”
The hits maker added “They have put their trust in me that I can handle a project like that and when it happens it will surely be the biggest ever in Indian cinema”. It is worth mentioning that Atlee in the Indian Conclave already stated that he will be targetting rupees three thousand crores with SRK and Vijay and from the look of it its already loading. Now the only question left is whether this one will be ‘Thalapathy 69’ or not?
In the same interview Atlee also shared that a top Hollywood production house has approached him for a project and he and his team are parallely working on that one as well.
