முஸ்லிம் வேட்பாளர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை 2019 மக்களவைத் தேர்தலுடன் ஒப்பிடுகையில் இம்முறை பெரிய அளவில் சரிந்துள்ளது. பகுஜன் சமாஜ் கட்சி, காங்கிரஸ், திரிணமூல் காங்கிரஸ், சமாஜ்வாதி கட்சி, ராஷ்ட்ரிய ஜனதா தளம், என்சிபி, சிபிஐ (எம்) ஆகிய கட்சிகளிலிருந்து இம்முறை 78 முஸ்லிம் வேட்பாளர்கள் வேட்புமனு தாக்கல் செய்துள்ளனர். 2019-ன் ஆண்டு மக்களவைத் தேர்தலில் இந்த எண்ணிக்கை 115 ஆக இருந்தது.

இம்முறை தேசிய அளவில் அதிகபட்சமாக பகுஜன்சமாஜ் கட்சி 35 முஸ்லிம் வேட்பாளர்களை களமிறக்கியுள்ளது. இதில் உத்தர பிரதேசத்தில் மட்டும் 17 முஸ்லிம் வேட்பாளர்கள் களம் கண்டுள்ளனர். மத்திய பிரதேசத்தில் 4, பிஹார் மற்றும் டெல்லியிலிருந்து தலா 3, உத்தராகண்டிலிருந்து 2, ராஜஸ்தான், தமிழ்நாடு, மேற்கு வங்கம், ஜார்க்கண்ட், தெலங்கானா, குஜராத்திலிருந்து தலா 1 என பகுஜன் சமாஜ் கட்சி சார்பில் முஸ்லிம் வேட்பாளர்கள் போட்டியிடுகின்றனர்.

இதற்கு அடுத்ததாக காங்கிரஸ் 19 முஸ்லிம் வேட்பாளர்களை களமிறக்கியுள்ளது. அதிகபட்சமாக, மேற்கு வங்கத்தில் காங்கிரஸ் சார்பில் 6 முஸ்லிம் வேட்பாளர்கள் போட்டியிடுகின்றனர். திரிணமூல் கட்சி 6 முஸ்லிம் வேட்பாளர்களையும், சமாஜ்வாதி கட்சி 4 முஸ்லிம் வேட்பாளர்களையும் களமிறக்கியுள்ளது. பாஜக 1 முஸ்லிம் வேட்பாளரை களமிறக்கியுள்ளது.

கடந்த மக்களவைத் தேர்தலில் 26 முஸ்லிம் வேட்பாளர்கள் எம்பியாக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டனர். காங்கிரஸ், திரிணமூல் காங்கிரஸிலிருந்து 4, பகுஜன் சமாஜ் கட்சி மற்றும் சமாஜ்வாதி கட்சியிலிருந்து தலா 3, என்சிபி மற்றும்சிபிஐ (எம்) கட்சிகளிலிருந்து தலா 1 என்ற அளவில் முஸ்லிம் வேட்பாளர்கள் எம்பியாக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டனர்.
